What a week! Seth came home from church camp last Saturday, exhausted and with a lovely cold, but glad he went. The camp is in the mountains of North Carolina and it sounds like he got a lot of exercise, both physical and spiritual. He also had a brief romance, which initially left him crushed by its ending but is now pretty much ancient history. :-)
Tuesday Luke found his car. A young fellow at Shaw AFB had a 1990 Mazda Miata for sale with under 75,000 miles on it, and it's in beautiful shape. So now my boy has wheels, and he is thrilled. Of course he'd be even more thrilled if he hadn't come down with his brother's nasty cold, since he's spent the rest of the week blowing his nose, poor kid.
Wednesday we found out that someone has broken into our house in Michigan and stolen almost all the appliances. That set us off on a round of phone calls to police and insurance, which has been just SO much fun. Golly, I can hardly wait to do it again! (Sarcastic? Who, me?) It's very frustrating to be dealing with this from 800 miles away. Thankfully we have some good people to work with up there.
What else? Hmmm.....Thursday afternoon/evening Faith began feeling crummy, and today she still isn't very happy, so I'm guessing that she is taking her turn with this virus. I am really hoping that she gets over it quickly, because stuff like this seems to wear her down more than the boys.
I bought a dress to wear to our nephew's wedding at the end of July, and now I have to actually try to lose a little weight so I can breathe in it. I am going to be successful, too, because I really love this dress and I'll be darned if I'm going to take it back for anything different. If - no, WHEN - I wear it to the wedding, I'll be sure to take pictures and post them. I've already got jewelry designed in my head to go with it, so all I need are the perfect shoes and I'm good to go.
We're still looking for a church home. Logically, I know it usually takes us about 6 months after a move to find a church, but emotionally I want to find one YESTERDAY. Our church in Michigan is so great that it's hard not filter everything else through the "Ore Creek" standard, but I know we need to be open. We're really hoping we can find something soon, though....it helps so much to have a church family.
So what's going on in the rest of the world? Somebody leave me some comments....I've been too wrapped up in my own little world lately, it would be good to hear from someone else!

Oh, NO! Man! What a week...I can't imagine having to deal with police-stuff from 800 miles away.
We're having one of those weeks where for the most part it's people AROUND us having all the drama...money drama, baby-daddy drama, drug-addiction-accusation drama, more money drama, cars-towed, evicted-from-apartment, mom-won't-let-me-move-back-in, wedding is {off, on, off, on, off, on}, how come you posted 'happy birthday' for HER but not ME three months ago?!, and seriously, I'm starting to look for hidden cameras!

Hurrah for Luke for being a proud owner of that Miata! I hope he's driving it well and avoiding trouble. Well, nothing much has happened. I hope you have a good church community by now according to Ore Creek standards.
